🥋 BJJ Competition Questions
What age groups are eligible for your BJJ competitions? +
Kids aged 6–17 years old, and Adults 18+ years old are welcome to compete.
What belt levels can compete? +
Kids: All belts. Adults: White & Blue belts only.
How do I register for a competition? +
Register through the SmoothComp website. The link is at the bottom of our Competition page.
What information do I need when registering? +
Name, age, belt colour/skill level, and your gym name.
How are divisions decided? +
By age, weight, and experience level.
What rules do you follow? +
Rules are listed on our competition page.
Are referees qualified? +
Yes, all refs are hand-selected and are at minimum purple belts in BJJ.
How long are matches? +
Kids: 4 minutes. Adults: 5 minutes.
Are there prizes? +
Gold and Silver medals for 1st and 2nd place. Surprise prizes will be awarded on the day.
What if there's no one in my division? +
You may be moved up in weight or belt. Refunds available if no fair matchup is found.
When is the registration deadline? +
10th of July 2025 at 5 PM.
Can I get a refund if I can’t attend? +
Yes — until July 10 at 5 PM. If sick on the day, please contact us.

How long does shipping take? +
Apparel: 10–14 business days (made to order). Books/Tape: 2–10 business days.
Do you ship internationally? +
No — we currently ship within Australia only.
How much is shipping? +
Apparel: Free. Books/Tape: $11 flat rate.
What is your return policy? +

I received the wrong item — what should I do? +
Email us immediately and we’ll fix it.
